Support wildfire relief efforts in British Columbia with a text donation

A province-wide state of emergency remains in place in British Columbia with wildfires burning out of control throughout most the province’s Cariboo and Interior regions.

Thousands have been evacuated and the risk of new fires starting throughout the province remains high, with continued hot, dry weather expected with risks of thunderstorms.

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the wild fires.

At Rogers, we are supporting those affected by the fires with a $25,000 donation in support of the Canadian Red Cross’ relief efforts.

We also recognize that this is a crucial time for our customers in evacuated areas to stay in touch with family and friends, which is why we’re waiving domestic voice, text and data overages until July 28.

There’s a quick and easy way to help: you can donate $10 to the Canadian Red Cross relief efforts by texting FIRES to 45678.

UPDATE (July 16, 2017) – As the B.C. wildfires continue to burn across the Interior region, Rogers is doubling our donation to $50,000 in support of the Canadian Red Cross’ relief efforts. Our thoughts continue to be with those affected during this challenging time.
