Offers loaner phones, rocket hubs and charging stations to help connect family and friends
This weekend Hurricane Dorian struck Atlantic Canada, with harsh winds and heavy rain causing extensive power outages and damage across the region, especially Nova Scotia which was the eye of the storm.
Our network, service and maintenance teams have been working around the clock to restore services as quickly as possible to customers affected by Hurricane Dorian. Local teams are deploying and fueling back-up generators at cell sites and cable transport sites, and a team of technicians from Ontario and Quebec travelled to Nova Scotia to help restore services. Rogers is also working closely with local hydro to restore full power to sites, prioritizing critical areas.

Rogers is working with the Red Cross and other local relief organizations to support clean-up and restoration efforts in our communities where it is most needed. Rogers continues to offer loaner phones to Red Cross volunteers and rocket hubs to relief centres to keep family and friends connected and identify volunteer opportunities.
Rogers radio at News 95.7 kept Halifax listeners informed throughout Hurricane Dorian with non-stop coverage during the peak of the storm and will continue to do so.
Rogers retail locations across Atlantic Canada continue to re-open as power is restored. Residents and businesses are welcome to visit the retail stores in New Minas, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to charge their devices, warm up and enjoy refreshments onsite.
