Beyond Our Backyard: Export Strategies For Small Business In The Latest "Business Coach" Podcast

TORONTO, Jan. 8 /CNW/ - In the grand scheme of things, Canada is a
relatively small marketplace. Canadian entrepreneurs are fortunate to operate
in this country, where wealth, innovation, political stability and the rule of
law provide the foundation for one of most vibrant economies in the world.
But, if entrepreneurs really want to tap their company's full potential, they
have to look beyond their backyard into foreign markets. In the newest
"Business Coach" podcast, available today, PROFIT editor Ian Portsmouth and
Justine Hendricks, Regional Vice President of Small Business Sales at Export
Development Canada in Ottawa, discuss export growth strategies, hot export
markets and financing arrangements for Canadian businesses.
Rated as one of the top podcasts available for download during the run of
its first episode on Apple iTunes, the new Business Coach episodes offer new
insight and information in an updated format to help small business owners run
their business better. Since October of 2007 podcast episodes have been
regularly available on iTunes, as well as on bmo.com and PROFITguide.com.
Previous releases include: "Lessons from the Dragons' Den," "Economic
Outlook," "Building an advisory board," "Family business," Personal finance,"
"Better Workplaces," "Social Media," and "Tax Planning."
The Business Coach podcast is offered in both English and French, with
the English language interviews hosted by Ian Portsmouth and broadcaster André
Hains leading the Francophone episodes. The podcast is produced by PROFIT in
cooperation with BMO Bank of Montreal.
