G4techTV Canada to air live coverage of Comic-Con 2007


    America's largest comic book and pop culture convention features biggest
    stars in the industry

    TORONTO, July 19 /CNW/ - G4techTV Canada is pleased to announce special
live coverage of America's largest comic book and pop culture convention,
Comic-Con International, taking place in San Diego July 26 to 29, 2007.
G4techTV Canada's coverage will air live on Thursday, July 26 and Friday, July
27 from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. ET. The coverage will feature in-depth comic
news, behind-the-scenes interviews with directors and stars from the latest
comic-based films and TV shows and much more.
    Now in its 38th year, Comic-Con 2007 is the largest comic convention of
its kind in the US and expected to attract more than 120,000 die hard comic
book fanatics for a four-day celebration of all things pop culture. With
hundreds of exhibitors, autograph sessions, photo ops, film festivals and
industry awards, the convention attracts visitors from around the world.
    Comic-Con attendees include professionals from all areas of the pop
culture industry, including, comics, films and television, animation, toy and
action figure design, illustration and many more. Special guests at this
year's convention include some of the biggest names in film and literature
including filmmaker George A. Romero, godfather of zombie movies including the
1968 classic Night of the Living Dead and Ray Bradbury, perennial Comic Con
favourite and the award-winning author of classics such as Fahrenheit 451 and
The Martian Chronicles.
    G4techTV Canada will rebroadcast Comic-Con 2007 coverage on Thursday,
July 26 at 2:00 a.m. ET, Friday, July 27 at 2:00 a.m.,10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
ET, Saturday, July 28 at 4:00 p.m. ET and Sunday, July 29at 4:00 p.m. ET.
