TORONTO (February 28, 2018) Joe Siddall is stepping out of the radio booth and moving in front of the cameras this season to join Sportsnet’s Blue Jays Central broadcast as studio analyst. Siddall will work alongside host Jamie Campbell for pre- and post-game coverage of the Toronto Blue Jays. He makes his debut on March 26, 2018. Sportsnet’s studio team will also include MLB alum Cliff Floyd and former Blue Jay Kevin Barker who will be featured throughout the season as guest analysts.

“I’m truly excited to begin this next chapter in my broadcast career, working alongside Jamie and the entire broadcast team,” said Siddall. “As a player, I loved being behind the plate because I was involved in every pitch and every aspect of the game. I try to bring that same perspective and passion to my work as an analyst.”

Born in Windsor, ON, Joe Siddall began his baseball career with the Montreal Expos before moving on to catch for the Florida Marlins and Detroit Tigers. Following his playing career, Siddall joined radio legend Jerry Howarth and Blue Jays broadcaster Mike Wilner as the radio analyst for Toronto Blue Jays broadcasts on the Sportsnet Radio Network.

“Since joining the radio broadcast team in 2014, Joe has become one of the industry’s leading analysts,” said Rob Corte, Vice President, Sportsnet & NHL Production. “He has an incredible baseball IQ and we are thrilled that he’ll be making the transition to television this season.”

Born and raised in Chicago, Cliff Floyd made his major league debut in 1993 with the Montreal Expos. Traded to the Florida Marlins in 1997, Floyd would go on to contribute to several clubs throughout his 17-year baseball career, including the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and Chicago Cubs. In 2010, Floyd launched his broadcast career with Fox Sports and made regular appearances on NBC Sports Network and MLB Network. Floyd returns to Blue Jays Central this season after making his first guest appearance in 2015.

A native of Mendota, Virginia, Kevin Barker began his MLB career with the Milwaukee Brewers before playing first base for the San Diego Padres, Toronto Blue Jays, and Cincinnati Reds. Since retiring from baseball, Barker has been a staple of Sportsnet’s Blue Jays coverage and co-hosts Baseball Central alongside Jeff Blair on Sportsnet 590 The FAN.

Blue Jays Central returns to Sportsnet next month to wrap up the Blue Jays pre-season stretch in Montreal as Canada’s Team hosts the St. Louis Cardinals at Olympic Stadium, March 26 and March 27. Sportsnet has exclusive coverage of all 162 Toronto Blue Jays regular season games, beginning with the season opener on March 29 on Sportsnet, Sportsnet Radio Network and Sportsnet NOW.

Sportsnet will announce its Blue Jays radio broadcast team in the coming weeks.
