OMNI Bollywood Freetime Movie to Air Across Canada


    New Station-wide Scheduling on Five Rogers OMNI Television Stations
    Reaches Nine Major Market Audiences

    TORONTO, Aug. 14 /CNW/ - Bollywood movie fans across the country will be
soon able to catch new and classic feature films on Sunday afternoons, when
Rogers OMNI Television unveils its new station-wide schedule for OMNI
Bollywood Freetime Movie.Starting Sunday, September 21st on all Rogers OMNI Television stations:

      -  12:00 p.m. ET on OMNI.2;
      -  12:00 p.m. MT on OMNI Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton);
      -  3:00 p.m. PT on OMNI BC,OMNI Bollywood Freetime Movie will air a selection of new and classic
Bollywood movies, many of which are making their debut on terrestrial
(non-satellite) television.
    "OMNI Bollywood Freetime Movie weekly presents a subtitled genre that
reaches across language and culture," says Madeline Ziniak, National Vice
President of Rogers OMNI Television. "Ontario viewers, virtually from the
outset, have demonstrated their loyalty for the series and we anticipate
viewership will jump significantly when we introduce OMNI Bollywood Freetime
Movie to an additional two million households."OMNI Bollywood Freetime Movie will feature an assortment of blockbusters,
including recent titles:

      -  Eklavya (2007) - directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra;
      -  Salaam - E - Ishq (2007) - directed by Nikhil Advani; and
      -  Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) - directed by Rajkumar Hirani"We've secured another top line-up this year and are pleased to present

    OMNI Bollywood Freetime Movie was first broadcast in 2002, concurrent
with the launch of Rogers OMNI.2 and unprecedented access to
multilingual/multicultural programming throughout Ontario. A station-wide
platform for OMNI Bollywood Freetime Movie along with the launch of OMNI
Alberta and rebranding of channel m, will represent one more ground-breaker
for Rogers OMNI Television and a milestone in Canadian diversity television.
