Our partnership with DeGroote advances leaders one EMBA at a time

Rogers annually nominates senior team members to pursue an Executive MBA in Digital Transformation at McMaster’s DeGroote School of Business.

Achieving an MBA is a long-term goal for many people, and Rogers is looking to turn that dream into a reality for its qualifying team members. Through the Ted Rogers Scholarship Fund, Rogers has collaborated with the DeGroote School of Business to offer a one of kind EMBA program for selected recipients to study the digital landscape.

The 14-month program includes multi-city modules based in Ontario and Silicon Valley, with courses revolving around finance, marketing, data science and business analytics. The residential modules are balanced between classroom lectures and on-site observation of experts. The program is designed for students to excel in managing evolving digital systems and lead teams through data-driven decision-making.

The scholarship provides an opportunity for extensive professional development in becoming a digital leader within a student’s respective field. Since Rogers launched the program in 2016, we have selected three recipients to pursue an EMBA. Our first recipient, Andrea Gagliardi, graduated in 2017 and has since been named Vice President of Residential and Enterprise (Digital). Rachel Di Salle, Senior Manager of Content Governance, recently graduated stating, “[the program] gives you a whole other sense of context when you’re looking at your work and the company you work for, and how that fits in the industry.” The 2018 candidate is Ryan Chong, Director of Digital Platforms and is entering his first residency at DeGroote this month.

By investing in employees’ success, Rogers is equipping our leaders with the tools to innovate for the future.
