As Canada’s frontline healthcare workers continue to charge forward, Citytv is taking a step back to bring Canadians together and thank those risking their lives to help others in a one-hour LIVE special The Heroes of COVID, airing Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Citytv and Citytv.com, right before the star-studded ONE WORLD: Together At Homeconcert.

Hosted by Breakfast Television’s Devo Brown and CityNews’s Lindsay Dunn, The Heroes of COVID special offers a heartfelt collection of tributes from real people across Canada and features the profiles of individual efforts of those on the frontlines. The Heroes of COVID will showcase, through local CityNews segments, the many ways people across the country are saluting healthcare workers, whether that be painting a rainbow on a front window or banging pots and pans. The special also connects with celebrities and entertainers, including Ryan Reynolds, Nick Nurse, Bianca Andreescu, Hayley Wickenheiser, and William Shatner alongside numerous Rogers Sports & Media on-air personalities across all brands.
