Rogers adds Greek channel MEGA Cosmos to its multicultural lineup


    TORONTO, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - Rogers Cable Communications Inc. has expanded
its multicultural programming yet again with the addition of the popular Greek
channel, MEGA Cosmos. From now until November 12th, 2007 Rogers PersonalTV
customers can preview top quality Greek programming for free on channel 575.
    "Rogers recognizes that many of its customers want multicultural
programming and we aim to meet those demands through our ever-expanding
multicultural offerings," said David Purdy, Vice-President of Television for
Rogers Cable. "We're glad to be able to give our ethnic markets what they want
and now Greek consumers can access the highest-quality Greek news and
entertainment."
    MEGA Cosmos is Greece's largest and most popular TV station. It offers
the best in Greek language entertainment television with 24-hour news
programs, sports, movies, dramas, game shows and more.

quality programming to offer the Greek diaspora in Canada and we encourage
people to check out the free preview."
    With the addition of MEGA Cosmos, Rogers continues to offer its customers
the most multicultural programming with over 65 channels in more than 20
different languages. This is the third Greek channel Rogers offers its
customers (both ERT sat and Odyssey Television are available to PersonalTV
subscribers). Rogers offers multiple package choices (not including the cost
of owning or renting the required digital cable set-top box) for those who
want to continue viewing MEGA Cosmos after the free preview ends.
    For $35 Rogers PersonalTV customers can order MEGA Cosmos along with
Odyssey Television and ERT sat. For $30 a month customers can combine MEGA
Cosmos with Odyssey Television.
