Rogers announces Smart Home Monitoring coming soon to Newfoundland and New Brunswick

MONCTON, Jan. 24, 2013 /CNW/ – Today, Canadians in Newfoundland and New
Brunswick
can rest easier knowing their home can soon be truly
connected with Rogers Smart Home Monitoring. A robust home security and
home automation control system, Rogers Smart Home Monitoring allows
customers to easily control and automate their home security, lights,
cameras, thermostats, and appliances remotely through their smartphone,
computer or tablet, and will soon be available to Rogers cable
customers (subject to licensing approval) in Newfoundland and New
Brunswick
.

Rogers Smart Home Monitoring does more than protect the security of your
home. It monitors and automates everything together from water leaks,
carbon monoxide levels, door/window openings, cameras, lighting,
thermostat temperatures, and allows customers to customize automation
rules to their needs. More key benefits include:

  • Real-time, 24/7 monitoring at the Rogers Central Monitoring Station
    provided by certified security experts with over twenty years of
    experience in security, monitoring and emergency services
  • Where available, IP-based dual network connections ensure constant
    connection of the home to the Rogers Central Monitoring Station
  • Real-time sensor and video alerts sent via text and email
  • Remote access via smartphone, computer or tablets to securely view &
    control the whole system including Arm/Disarming the home
  • Professional installation by specially-trained Rogers cable technicians

Rogers plans to introduce its Smart Home Monitoring service to Rogers
customers in Newfoundland and New Brunswick in the coming months. In
the meantime, customers living in these areas can go to www.rogers.com/shmeastcoast to register to receive information about when Rogers Smart Home
Monitoring will be available in their neighbourhood.
