Expansion brings Canada’s best and most reliable 5G+ network to N.B. community
MONCTON, AUGUST 26, 2026 – Rogers Communications today announced it has expanded its 5G+ wireless network to Salisbury, New Brunswick, improving safety and access to reliable communications for residents and businesses.
“We know how important it is for New Brunswickers to stay connected and we’re investing to enhance our wireless network in Salisbury,” said Mark Kennedy, Chief Technology Officer, Rogers. “This new 5G+ service will strengthen connectivity for local residents and businesses in the community.”
Rogers covers nearly the entire population of New Brunswick with its wireless network. This 5G+ expansion will help meet the area’s growing needs and ensure reliable access to emergency services. In areas outside of traditional cell coverage in New Brunswick, Rogers Satellite provides connectivity so customers can text-to-911 and use text messaging as well as satellite-ready apps including WhatsApp, Messenger and Google Maps.

Over the past decade, Rogers has invested nearly $40 billion in its networks. 5G+ is the latest 5G technology, delivered through mid-band spectrum. Rogers 5G+ is powered by 3800 MHz and 3500 MHz spectrum, providing customers with faster speeds and more capacity. This mid-band spectrum complements Rogers 600 MHz low-band 5G spectrum, creating consistent and reliable 5G coverage.
