Rogers’ HSPA+ network to offer fastest download speeds available in North America

WINNIPEG, May 4 /CNW/ – Rogers’ customers in Winnipeg are now able to access Rogers’ High Speed Packet Access Plus (HSPA+) network, offering customers the fastest mobile broadband download speeds available in North America.

Rogers was the first wireless carrier to offer an HSPA+ network in Canada and is the only wireless carrier to offer the HSPA+ network to Winnipeg residents. The network is accessed though the HSPA+ Rocket Mobile Internet Stick. The stick can provide download speeds of up to 21 megabits per second* (mbps), enabling quick movie downloads and web surfing for a mobile web experience equivalent to what customers can get at home or in the office.

Winnipeg will be first to experience world-class wireless technology that is expected to be rolled out province-wide later this year. Communities across the province will have access to the highest download speeds available as well as mobile broadband devices and smartphones such as the iPhone.
