Rogers Publishing announces expanded roles for two executives

TORONTO, June 10 /CNW/ - Marc Blondeau, Senior Vice-President of Consumer
Publishing, Rogers Publishing Limited, today announced expanded
responsibilities for two of the company's executives. Kerry Mitchell and Ken
Whyte will now serve as publisher on a number of publications in addition to
their current roles at Rogers.
Whyte becomes Vice-President, Rogers Consumer Publishing, and in addition
to his current role as Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Maclean's, Ken is
appointed to the position of Publisher of Canadian Business, PROFIT, and
MoneySense magazines.
In addition to her position as Vice-President, Rogers Consumer Publishing
and Publisher of Chatelaine, Kerry Mitchell will also assume the role of
Publisher at FLARE. As well as overseeing French-language Châtelaine, she will
oversee the following titles: Cosmetics, Cosmétiques, Glow and Pure magazines
in the role of Executive Publisher. The publishers of these brands will report
to her.
"We have a management team that is the envy of the industry, amongst
which are Kerry and Ken," says Blondeau. "Ken's unique insight into the needs
and desires of audiences combined with his natural leadership ability has left
an indelible mark on Maclean's and Macleans.ca. We are very happy he has
agreed to expand his role within Rogers Publishing."
"I am excited about this appointment," says Whyte. "There is so much
talent within our award-winning business publications and I believe we can
build on their many successes - particularly in the current economic climate.
Canadians are hungry for business news and analysis."
Mitchell has a strong record of leadership with Canada's largest and
best-known media brands. "Kerry's management insight and ability to establish
long-term vision while driving growth has been evidenced in recent years at

advance Rogers Publishing as the go-to media company for organizations looking
to speak to Canada's most engaged women's audiences."
"I am delighted for the opportunity to work more closely with my
colleagues at these category-leading publications," says Mitchell. "I am
particularly honoured to be joining the team at FLARE at this special time: as
it celebrates its 30th anniversary year as Canada's fashion authority."
Glow and its French counterpart Pure are Canada's definitive guides to
beauty and health. Cosmetics and sister publication Cosmétiques are widely
respected resources that serve the specialized needs of Canada's beauty
advisors/cosmeticians working in the retail environment.
