Ryley McWilliams

1. Where do you volunteer – what’s your favourite thing about what you do?

I volunteer with an organization known as Challenger Baseball. I enjoy volunteering with this organization immensely. The joyful smile on all the faces of the kids are more than enough to encourage me to come back.

2. Why was receiving a Ted Rogers Scholarship special?

Receiving a Ted Rogers Scholarship was special because, it is helping me achieve my goal to become a biomedical prosthesis research engineer, and help people who live with prosthetics a better life.

3. Where do you plan on going to school and what will you study?

I plan to go to Simon Fraser University, and I plan to study mechatronics there.

4. What are your long-term goals?

My long-term goals are to become a biomedical prosthesis research engineer, learn how to wrestle with sharks, and to finally be able to eat five Big Macs in one go. Can you guess which one’s false? 😉
