We believe that all children and youth deserve a level playing field.
Through Jays Care Foundation, we aim to create a level playing field for all children and youth across Canada.
Jays Care uses the sport of baseball to teach children and youth life skills to help them thrive and succeed. Through the Jays Care’s signature programs, the Foundation is able to reach thousands of children and youth each year in communities across Canada. Key programs include:
- Rookie League: Rookie League is Jays Care’s most wide-reaching baseball for development program, specially designed to use the power of baseball and the appeal of the Toronto Blue Jays to foster lasting social change and create leaders beyond the ballpark.
- Field of Dreams: Field of Dreams is Jays Care’s granting program for infrastructure dedicated to youth life-skill development and physical activity. The Field Of Dreams program provides funding to design, refurbish and build safe spaces for children and youth to play baseball, develop life skills and learn from positive role models.
- Girls at Bat: Girls at Bat helps girls across the country set lofty goals and pursue them with tenacity. Jays Care Foundation and Plan International Canada have partnered to work with communities, schools and non-profit organizations to help increase female participation and retention in sport, using a 8-12 week baseball and/or softball program as the vehicle.
- Challenger Baseball: Challenger Baseball is Jays Care’s adaptive baseball program, run in partnership with Little League Canada and Baseball Canada, specifically designed to empower children, youth and adults living with physical and/or cognitive disabilities
