TORONTO (February 8, 2017) Canada’s #1 sports radio station is about to shake up your morning with the all-new morning show Sportsnet’s Starting Lineup with Brady & Price on Sportsnet 590 The FAN.  The show, which launches February 27, features co-hosts Greg Brady and Elliott Price along with long-time Toronto sportscaster Hugh Burrill.

“Greg, Elliott and Hugh will greet our listeners each morning with engaging sports conversation, enthusiastic debate, and wide-ranging opinions. The show will be entertaining, passionate, and fun – all the while focusing on the topics Toronto sports fans care about most,” said Dave Cadeau, Program Director, Sportsnet 590 The FAN.  “The trio has incredible chemistry and their dynamic personalities are a perfect fit for our audience.”

As of February 27, the Sportsnet 590 The FAN lineup is as follows:

  • 5:30 to 9 a.m. ET – Sportsnet’s Starting Lineup with Brady & Price
  • 9 to Noon ET – The Jeff Blair Show
  • Noon to 1 p.m. ET – Hockey Central @ Noon
  • 1 to 4 p.m. ET – The Andrew Walker Show
  • 4 to 7 p.m. ET – Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown & Damien Cox

“In my 17-plus years in this market, I can say with a tremendous sense of pride that this is the best sports radio lineup I have ever seen. We have big personalities who have a deep knowledge of sports and an unparalleled enthusiasm that connects with our listeners. We have taken what was a great lineup and made it extraordinary,” said Cadeau.

As a result of today’s announcement, the Dean Blundell & Co. show has been cancelled, effective immediately.

“Dean Blundell is an incredibly talented broadcaster. The decision to part was based purely on a desire to return to a more complete sports format. I enjoyed working with Dean and wish him the very best,” said Cadeau.

Anybody but that loser Brady. What has this guy got on you? Is he related to someone? He has failed in every time slot. Stopped listing to the morning show once because I couldn’t stand him. I stopped tuning in to the afternoon show because of him. Now guess it is going to be TSN radio in the morning if I can bare those guys. Or 680 news. Not that I live and die by Blundell but after midnight shift he kept me smiling all the way home. Who you employ is your business. Who I choose to listen to is mine. And so long as the morning show has G Brady at the mic I will turn my ears elsewhere. I’m sure that I’m not the only person saying that please make any other choice other Greg Brady. Please

  2. Mike says:

Very sad to lose Blundell and Co. I think this is a bad decision. Also not a huge Brady guy.

  3. Mark says:

Why does Rogers keep tinkering with the lineup?… Initially Blundell wasn’t very good but he got better and eventually had really good chemistry with Rusic and Fabro… They actually spoke like fans and were actually really funny… Brady and Price are plain *bleeping* boring!!!… they have no chemistry, spent a good five minutes jibber jabbering about high heels and British dress codes… it’s like a non stop sports update with traffic being the most exciting part… The best lineup would be Walkers crew in the morning and bring back Tim and Sid in the afternoon… don’t you dare change Walker or I’m done!!!

  4. Alex says:

    Blundell waaaaaaay better.

  5. Paul Abbott says:

Why has the morning show gone with this re draft format. Every morning they do it. I have stopped listening to the morning show as I wanted to hear about current events not what could have been. I am hoping it will stop soon.

  6. Pete G says:

…wouldn’t start the day without the Starting Lineup….great show etc etc
