Mr. Rogers is the Executive Chair of Rogers Communications Inc. He is also Chair of the Finance Committee, the Nominating Committee, and the Executive Committee of the Board. In addition, Mr. Rogers is Chair of Rogers Bank, the Toronto Blue Jays, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and Constantine Enterprises.

Two of the most significant moments of Edward’s tenure leading the Board were overseeing the merger between Shaw and Rogers, the largest telecommunications merger in Canadian history to date, and the acquisition of Bell Canada’s stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, making Rogers the majority owner of MLSE.

Mr. Rogers served in various operating capacities at Rogers for over 20 years, including as President & Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Cable Inc. from 2003 to 2009. Mr. Rogers focused on innovation during his time in operating management roles.

In 2025, Mr. Rogers was named Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Business Leader of the Year in recognition of his “vision, strategic leadership, and resilience” in ensuring Canada remains a top destination for business, investment, and opportunity. In 2026, he was invested into the Order of Ontario.

Mr. Rogers served on the board of the Sick Kids Foundation from 2006 to 2020. Since 2019, He has been an active member of the Scarborough Health Network (SHN) and serves as the Honorary Co-Chair of its fundraising campaign, “Love, Scarborough.” He also received in 2012 the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of contributions made to Canada.

Mr. Rogers graduated from the University of Western Ontario and spent the early years of his career at Comcast Corporation, then a U.S. cable and cellular company, based out of Philadelphia.
