More than $1.5 million raised for Canadian Youth at Jays Care's Curve Ball Gala

Last night, the entire Toronto Blue Jays roster, along with 1,300 special guests, helped raise more than $1.5 million for Jays Care Foundation at The Curve Ball Gala, presented by Cisco, Ericsson, Huawei, Invesco, Rogers, and Samsung. The annual event, held on the field at Rogers Centre, supports Jays Care’s programming initiatives, which use baseball to teach vital life-skills to children and youth facing the largest opportunity gaps.
“The success of The Curve Ball Gala truly demonstrates the philanthropic nature of Blue Jays fans and partners,” said Robert Witchel, Executive Director, Jays Care Foundation. “The support we receive from the players, front office, and fans is inspiring and helps us to enrich the lives of more than 65,000 children and youth across the country. Jays Care will invest more than $6 million this year to create opportunities for Canadian children and youth, and the guests and sponsors of this event are a key contributor to our national impact.” The Curve Ball Gala was made possible by the support of our generous sponsors: Cisco Systems Canada, Ericsson Canada Inc., Huawei Technologies Canada, Invesco, Rogers, Samsung, Franklin Templeton Investments, the Sprott Foundation, Hitron, HPE Canada, Microsoft Canada, AMC Networks, Aramark, Casa Systems, Inc., Facebook, Fasken Martineau, Google Canada, KPMG, LG Canada, Qualcomm Technologies Inc., Scotiabank, Sun Life Financial, Urbacon, ZTE Canada, WestJet, New Era, Honda Canada Foundation, and Sportsnet.
