Customers at Game 7 used more data than previous record-breaking Taylor Swift concert
The 2025 World Series was unforgettable for Canadians across the country.
And fans attending Game 7 in Toronto set a new record for data usage at the Rogers Centre, using 7.5 terabytes (TB) of data. That’s the equivalent of sharing 3.74 million photos of Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
This record-breaking traffic during the 11-inning game surpassed mobile data usage at Taylor Swift’s concert on November 21, 2024. Swifties used 7.4 TB of data at that concert.
Game 7 by the numbers:
- Over 60% of the mobile data during Game 7 was download traffic, the rest was upload
- Almost two-thirds of our TV subscribers watched the game on Rogers Xfinity TV
- During the game, our Rogers Xfinity customers used over 45,000 TB of data on the Rogers wireline network
