Building a stronger Canada one community at a time through 2023 Ted Rogers Community Grants

We are proud to make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth across Canada through Ted Rogers Community Grants. This year’s recipients comprise 76 charitable and non-profit organizations across 283 Canadian communities that are providing programming to help over 45,000 youth achieve their highest potential.

“We are proud to support local organizations that are empowering youth across Canada to level the playing field and increase access to opportunities,” said Navdeep Bains, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Rogers Communications. “Investing in young people through our community grants program will help build our country’s future.”

With a focus on supporting equity-deserving youth aged 12-29, community grants are awarded to organizations that empower youth through one of four pillars:

  • Education: Programs that directly help youth pursue post-secondary education in their field of choice or provide training and development to help youth advance their careers
  • Health and Sport: Programs that provide youth with access to sports and recreation services so that they can stay active, learn how to be part of a team, and lead overall physically and mentally healthier lives
  • Entrepreneurship: Programs that empower youth with tools, resources, networks, and mentors to bring their big ideas to life through their entrepreneurial ventures or present employment
  • Digital Literacy: Programs that help youth build critical digital and technological skills and/or teach awareness of cyber-safety, providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in today’s digital world

Community grants are just one of the ways Rogers invests in youth. This year we will award over a thousand Ted Rogers Scholarships to equity-deserving community leaders with financial need. We are also the largest funding partner for Jays Care Foundation, which provides youth baseball programs in partnership with over 100 local organizations. Annually, Shaw Charity Classic presented by Rogers helps hundreds of child and youth charities across Alberta and is the single largest charitable contributor in the PGA TOUR.
