The Canadian Chamber of Commerce on Thursday recognized Edward Rogers, Executive Chair of Rogers Communications, with Business Leader of the Year Award in Toronto.
“This year’s award winners are not just industry giants; they are nation builders. Their vision, strategic leadership, and resilience are ensuring that Canada remains a top destination for business, investment, and opportunity,” said Candace Laing, Canadian Chamber of Commerce President and CEO.
Rogers has served on the Rogers Board of Directors for many years, including as Executive Chair since 2024. He also served in operating capacities at Rogers for over 20 years, including as President & Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Cable Inc. from 2003 to 2009.
“I’m honoured to be recognized for the leadership of Rogers and for Rogers significant investments in infrastructure, content and sports. We are a proud Canadian company that’s committed to investing for the long-term,” said Rogers, who thanked his family, colleagues and mentors for the shared honour at the awards event.
“I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. To receive the Business Leader of the Year award from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce is truly humbling – not just because of what it represents, but because I know how many remarkable leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries are building the future of business in Canada today. To be recognized among them, and by you, is an honour,” Rogers told attendees.
“This is not just my achievement. It belongs to the people I work alongside every day – to the teams at Rogers and the many partners, collaborators, and mentors I’ve had throughout my journey. “
