Everything you need to know about the new Ryerson University’s Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst
Rogers has signed a five-year, $10 million founding partnership with Ryerson University’s Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst to train the next generation of workers with the skills needed to help our country’s digital economy thrive.
To meet the challenges and opportunities in our increasingly connected world, 10 million Canadians will need to be reskilled over the next 10 years. To help address this, we are collaborating with partners across academia, private and public sectors including FedDev Ontario, City of Brampton, Royal Bank of Canada and Ryerson University, to invest a total of $30 million in the Catalyst. Together, we will help provide skills training, job creation, conduct R&D and develop public policy in this important field.
Through the Catalyst, Rogers is supporting programs to:
- Train young Canadians (18 to 30 years old) for jobs in cybersecurity
- Educate small to medium sized business leaders about cyber threats and how to address them
- Provide continual learning opportunities for the Rogers technology team to tackle new challenges in cybersecurity
The Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst will build the skills and talent for the connected future so we can continue to bring Canadians the very best.
