How new Ignite WiFi Hub app features will help customers manage and protect their home network

As the number of connected devices in the home continues to grow, it’s important that families have access to resources to manage and protect their WiFi network. To help better monitor time spent online and ensure all devices connected to the network are safe and secure, we’ve introduced two new optional features to the Ignite WiFi Hub app to give customers greater control over their home WiFi: Active Time Details and Advanced Security.

With Active Time Details, customers have access to an ongoing activity summary for each user profile, detailing the time spent on popular apps and websites while connected to home WiFi. This unprecedented visibility can allow customers to easily understand where kids are spending their time online and manage screen time for themselves and everyone in the household.

Advanced Security helps keep customers’ data and devices protected around the clock by continuously monitoring the home WiFi network, automatically blocking suspicious activity in real-time, and providing alerts of potential security concerns plus options to address them. This feature analyzes activity sent through the Ignite WiFi Gateway and can complement traditional antivirus software for smartphones and computers with intelligent cyberthreat protection for all the connected devices in the smart home.
