Interview with 2018 Ted Rogers Scholarship Recipient Richard Ma

1. Where do you volunteer – what’s your favourite thing about what you do?

I live in Saskatoon which is a nice and small city. I was a member of YMCA community action Network program and I appreciate what it brings to me—-to try my best and never forget to take effort. My favourite things would be to improve my oral communication skills and team working skills. It is beneficial for my future career and I am willing to make new friends . During the ycan program, I feel it greatly challenge my presentation skills and how to be a comprehensive person.

2. Why was receiving a Ted Rogers Scholarship special? 

Ted Rogers scholarship focus on the leadership skills and community influences. It allows me to do more future contributions to my local community and also gives me an opportunity to be study at university for business.

3. Where do you plan on going to school and what will you study? 

I am planning to go wildfrid Laurier university in September for BBA and math double degree program and as a university student, I am planning to join the business associations.

4. What are your long-term goals? 

I want to still continue to do more volunteers during my university years. More importantly, I want to become a part of member in Ted Rogers company for coop term. It must be a fantastic experience.
