By now, everyone knows Toronto’s Most Famous TTC rider is Toronto Maple Leafs winger William Nylander. After going viral for being ”just like us” and riding the TTC subway to get to work, Rogers featured Nylander in an ad showcasing just how well Rogers 5G works on the TTC.
In November, Rogers announced that its customers can talk, text and stream on 5G in tunnels and stations of Toronto’s TTC subway in the following areas:
- In every station across Lines 1, 2, and 4, including platforms and concourses
- On Line 1: in the tunnels between Sheppard West and Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, and within the Downtown U
- On Line 2: in the tunnels between St. George and Bloor/Yonge
All TTC riders also have more reliable 911 access in these locations. Rogers is now focused on expanding 5G coverage to connect the remaining 36 kilometers of track in the TTC subway.
