Rogers extends financing options to make accessories more affordable

Rogers is the first national carrier to offer accessory financing, $0 down and 0% interest

Today, Rogers announced that wireless customers are now able to get accessories for $0 down, 0% interest and pay no taxes upfront with its new financing option. With financing, customers have an affordable way to get the latest accessories such as AirPods and AirPods Pro, Beats, Google Nest products, cases, screen protectors, chargers, smartwatches, smart bulbs and more.

In June 2019, Rogers was the first national carrier to announce that it would introduce device financing options to give customers more choice and flexibility, and make devices more affordable. With this expansion, Canadians now have a one-stop destination to get phones, tablets, smartwatches, accessories and more for $0 down and 0% interest. With financing, data plans are shown separately from the device or accessory monthly payment on the bill, and at the end of the financing term, the monthly payment for the financed product automatically drops off, making it easier for customers to understand their bill. Customers have the flexibility to pay their balance off in equal monthly payments over 24 months with the option to make lump sum payments on their balance at any time before the end of their financing term.

Customers can choose to finance a standalone item like premium headphones or smart speakers, or bundle multiple accessories such as phone cases, screen protectors and chargers. Rogers postpaid wireless customers can finance accessories starting today by visiting a Rogers retail store. Following COVID-19 closures, Rogers has now reopened most of its retail locations across the country with appropriate health and safety measures to continue to keep team members and customers safe during their visits.

Today’s announcement builds on initiatives Rogers has introduced to put customers first and improve their experience. Just over a year ago, Rogers was the first national carrier to introduce unlimited data plans (starting at 10GB of max speed data, reduced speeds thereafter) with no overages, significantly reducing the cost of data for its customers. Rogers Infinite plans are the only plans of their kind that offer customers unlimited sharing with no overages for all lines and connected devices.
