Rogers for Business teams up with the Toronto Region Board of Trade to support small businesses in Ontario

We’re teaming up with the Toronto Region Board of Trade to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Ontario. Leveraging our wide-array of diverse assets, the Rogers for Business team is supporting the Recovery Activation Program (RAP), which provides support to SMEs as they evolve and develop a digital transformation strategy.

To help amplify and promote this great program to businesses throughout Ontario, Rogers for Business is offering radio advertising across the Rogers Sports & Media network and social media channels.

What is the Recovery Activation Program (RAP)?

RAP is a series of online workshops that connect businesses with industry experts for guidance, mentorship and practical advice for their digital transformation journey. It provides an opportunity to connect with industry-leading experts on topics such as digital modernization and technology infrastructure.

This June, Rogers for Business will also host a one-hour webcast and three-hour digital certification as part of RAP. SMEs will have access to our industry experts to learn more about how they can take their business to the next level, digitally. These sessions will be advertised here over the coming weeks.

To date the program has helped over 1,000 Ontario businesses and hosted over 4,000 virtual event attendees all with a 100% satisfaction rate by participants.  While targeted at SMEs, RAP is free to businesses of all sizes across Ontario.

Small businesses need support now more than ever

Canadian SMEs have consistently listed technology as a key area to improve, and COVID accelerated their need to digitize their business. Over the last year, more SMEs than ever before have increased their investment in technology to drive innovation and grow their business, with 70% of small businesses surveyed reporting that the pandemic has accelerated the need for their business to go digital.1

“Supporting small and medium sized enterprises in Ontario through their digital transformation is imperative, even beyond COVID-19, in creating a stronger and more resilient business community”, says Dennis Stevens, Vice President of Marketing, Rogers for Business. “The Recovery Activation Program offers invaluable resources to SMEs that help evolve and energize their business.”

“RAP has become a critical tool for business owners who are not only looking to weather the pandemic but to emerge from it even stronger than before,” says Leigh Smout, President, World Trade Centre Toronto. “No other program offers participants mentorship with senior industry leaders and the opportunity to build a personalized digital growth plan at no cost. There’s no better time than today to get started with a free Digital Needs Assessment.”
