Rogers Returns with $1M Prize for Winner of Canada’s Got Talent

Rogers is proud to announce its continued partnership with Canada’s Got Talent – Citytv’s most-viewed unscripted original series in over a decade – awarding this season’s winner with a whopping $1M, the biggest cash prize in Canadian television history, as the show returns for another season of showstopping performances from across the country.

“I’m thrilled that Rogers is awarding $1M to the winner of Canada’s Got Talent again this season! It’s a massive prize that is sure to change the life of one talented Canadian act,” said Howie Mandel, Judge, Canada’s Got Talent. “In fact, I’m so excited about it that I’m throwing my own money into the pot and adding an extra $50 to make it $1,000,050.”

Last season, Rogers awarded $1M to Rebecca Strong, a 20-year-old singer from Prince Albert, SK who won Canada’s hearts and votes with her epic performance of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” during the highly anticipated live two-hour finale on Citytv and Citytv+.

This season, Shania Twain and comedian Katherine Ryan join Howie Mandel and Kardinal Offishall on the judges’ panel as they set out to discover Canada’s top talent. Global superstar, celebrated songwriter, and style icon Shania Twain is a five-time GRAMMY winner and one of music and fashion’s most renowned trailblazers. Twain brings her unparalleled experience, charisma, and knowledge to the judges’ panel as they seek out Canada’s new wave of superstars.

Hailing from Sarnia, ON, comedian and actress Katherine Ryan brings her incisive wit, fearless humor, and commanding presence to the judges’ panel offering perspective from her own journey as a leading figure in contemporary comedy.
