Rogers Media Launches Programmatic-Enabled Dynamic Ad Insertion on Digital Audio Platforms

TORONTO (January 17, 2018) Deepening its reach in the programmatic space, Rogers Media today announced the beta launch of dynamic ad insertion (DAI) advertising on live and on-demand audio streams for all of its 55 radio stations.  As the first Canadian media company to offer in-stream digital audio insertion capabilities on live streams, DAI for audio marries automation with first- and third-party data and location-based targeting to unlock the true power of digital listening.

DAI for audio targets listeners anywhere on the go, serving tailored ads that are relevant to audiences and high performing for advertisers. The new service also provides advertisers with an immersive and non-skippable environment for the brands and messages and targets listeners however they choose to connect, whether it’s via their new smart speaker, streamed in the car, or directly through their mobile device.

Rogers Media has selected AdsWizz for its direct and programming digital audio sales solution.  AdsWizz is a leading ad tech platform that focuses solely on digital audio, with an end-to-end, innovative advertising solution for both brands and audio publishers.  Rogers Media is leveraging the entire AdsWizz platform to deliver its first-to-market audio advertising experience, including: AIS, the AdsWizz market-leading ad insertion suite; AudioServe, the AdsWizz audio-centric ad server; and AudioMax, the AdsWizz SSP that provides holistic yield optimization designed for audio.

Buyers can initially access the inventory via AudioMatic, AdsWizz’s own audio DSP, as well as other leading DSPs including TheTradeDesk, MediaMath, AppNexus and Adobe (formally TubeMogul).

Rogers Radio live streams are available on owned and operated sites and mobile apps, and through Radioplayer, TuneIn, and smart speakers.
