meaning today with the release of the W580i Walkman phone from Sony Ericsson
and Rogers Wireless - a new feature-rich slim slider handset which includes
the innovative Shake control function allowing you to change songs with the
flick of a wrist.

the Shake control feature activated, you have the ability to randomly advance

play.

    At 14mm thin and a large 262K colour screen, the W580i slider is an
attractive looking device with inviting tactile surface qualities. Available
in Style white and Urban grey, the handset's vibrant colours are complimented
by fun and funky light effects. Navigating through the Walkman's menus prompts
orange illumination properties along the spine of the phone, giving the user
aesthetically pleasing control with their mobile music.
    On the inside, the W580 pounds out a rich mobile experience with a
Walkman 2.0 music player, Disc2Phone Music Management software, fast EDGE
connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, and USB 2.0 support. It ships with a 512 MB
Memory Stick Micro (M2), and a free upgradeable to a 2GB card through Rogers
Wireless, giving you the ability to hold approximately 500 full-length music
tracks(*). The phone is also capable of holding a 4GB memory card.
    The W580i sells for $149.99 with a three-year service agreement with
Rogers Wireless and is available for sale at Rogers Wireless dealers across
Canada or online at rogers.com.
