For the ninth year, on February 25, 200 of our team members with their family and friends donned their headsets and accepted donations on behalf of the Canucks for Kids Fund during the annual Canucks for Kids Telethon. This family-friendly event brought our Burnaby Contact Centre together for an exciting televised event that helped raise over $442,000 in donations!
“This event was a great opportunity for our Burnaby employees to come together and give back to their community,” said Kaitlyn LeFeaver, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager. “We look forward to providing the Vancouver Canucks our continued support to make a difference in the lives of families and children across British Columbia.”
The Canucks for Kids Fund is the charitable foundation of the Vancouver Canucks and has granted over $53 million to charities across British Columbia, with the core beneficiaries being Canucks Autism Network, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, and the British Columbia Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Canucks for Kids Telethon is one of the largest fundraising events for the foundation, and Rogers has been a key partner in providing behind the scenes support in the form of hundreds of volunteer hours and power to accept donations.
