Rogers rounds up matching donation to $113,000 – Taylor Swift’s favourite number
The final tally is in: the auction of Taylor Swift Toronto street signs has raised a total of $216,842.96 for the Daily Bread Food Bank.
This includes $103,842.96 raised from successful bidders and $113,000 from Rogers. The company promised to match funds raised up to $113,000 to double the impact.
“As presenting sponsor of Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour in Canada, Rogers is proud to partner with the City of Toronto and Daily Bread Food Bank to help raise funds for the critical mission of the food bank. We know every dollar matters so we’ve rounded up the donation to contribute $113,000, Taylor’s favourite number,” said Jana Masiewich, Head of Partnerships at Rogers.
Masiewich joined Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvie of the City of Toronto and Neil Hetherington, CEO of Daily Bread Food Bank, at the food bank’s facility today for the cheque presentation.
The 22 ceremonial street signs, created by the City in partnership with Rogers, were put up along an honorary route connecting Nathan Phillips Square to Rogers Centre for the month of November to celebrate the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour shows in Toronto. The auction wrapped up Sunday night.
