June 26, 2020 – The logistics are settled and the odds are set, now all that’s left is to draw the ping pong balls as Phase 1 of the 2020 NHL Draft Lottery airs live tonight at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet NOW, and on radio on Sportsnet 590 The Fan (Toronto), Sportsnet 960 The Fan (Calgary), and Sportsnet 650 (Vancouver). The half-hour special will also be available on-demand on Sportsnet NOW. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly, and Hockey Hall of Famer Martin Brodeur are all scheduled to appear throughout the broadcast, which will be produced at NHL Network’s studio in New Jersey.
Fans in the Nation’s Capital eagerly await tonight’s results as the Ottawa Senators hold the combined highest odds of winning the lottery and a chance to draft hockey’s next superstar and consensus first overall pick, Alexis Lafrenière, who is also scheduled to join the broadcast.
