Over the last year, the realities of COVID-19 have presented challenging obstacles to both our communities and to the individuals who selflessly serve them. For our friends at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, the pandemic has highlighted food insecurity and its impact on the most vulnerable in our communities.
When Vancouver Mayor Kennedy Stewart issued a challenge to elected officials, business leaders, and volunteers, Rogers stepped up to help combat food insecurity with a donation of $25,000 to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.
It didn’t stop there.
Our team in Burnaby, B.C., reached out to see how they could help. This week, our regional leaders and team members were proud to be able to help stock the shelves at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank warehouse—located just minutes from our customer solution centre in Burnaby.
