Connecting Canadians for 65 years

Investing in innovation.

Making life better for Canadians.

Sixty-five years ago, Ted Rogers bought his first radio station, CHFI, not just to start a business, but to carry forward a legacy. He named the company after his father, Edward Rogers Sr., a Canadian inventor who changed radio forever with the world’s first alternating radio tube in 1925. Edward believed in building in Canada.

From FM radio to cable TV, high-speed internet to wireless and satellite-to-mobile, Rogers has a history of innovative firsts, helping shape how we connect, communicate, and experience the world.

Today, that legacy lives on in the technology Canadians use every day.

  • Connectivity that’s seamless: From dial-up to high-speed internet, from 1G to 5G+, Rogers has helped Canadians move into the digital age, powering everything from the tools and apps on your smartphone, to working-on-the-go, to weekend movie nights, streaming seamlessly on Canada’s most reliable internet and Rogers 5G+.
  • Technology that supports communities and first responders: From wildfire detection tools to dedicated network lanes for first responders, we’re innovating with partners to use our infrastructure to help keep Canadians safe – providing support when it’s needed most.
  • Coverage that extends beyond traditional wireless networks: Rogers is the first and only wireless carrier in Canada to offer ground-breaking satellite-to-mobile text messaging services. This next big leap in connectivity is bringing coverage to some of the most remote areas of the country without traditional cellular infrastructure.
  • Reliable connectivity that entertains at home: With Rogers Xfinity, Rogers was the first Canadian internet provider to launch WiFi 7, powering world-class entertainment experiences. The latest generation of Rogers Xfinity WiFi brings together live sports, news, and lifestyle entertainment so you can spend less time searching for great content and more time watching.
