[On-screen text: What’s your daily screen time?]

That’s a good question. Definitely depends on the day.

Um, I’m gonna go anywhere between 2 hours and 3 hours or something like that.

[On-screen text: Daily screen use for teens: 5.2 hours]

Wow. That’s alarming.

You live so much on our phones, on devices.

And, you know, for a lot of people, it’s the way they stay connected with the world.

What I use my phone mostly for, to talk to friends back home, talk to mom and dad.

I know I sleep so much better when I’m not on my phone, you know, in the time leading up to bed.

So I’ll just go upstairs, put my phone away, turn my phone on to sleep mode, don’t see any text,
don’t see any notifications.

Kind of out of sight, out of mind.

Those habits or those tools kind of in place.

I feel so much better.

Some of the best memories I have till this day are neighborhood friends playing together.

There’s a street hockey game going on in the neighborhood.

You can’t do that playing on a screen.
