[On-screen text: What’s your daily screen time?]
It’s already opened up to Instagram, so it’s not a good sign.
[On-screen text: Daily screen use for teens: 5.2 hours]
My daily average is 5 hours and 51 minutes. So I’m an average Canadian teenager then I guess, with my
screen time. I’m one of you.
When you think about I have no time in the day, well, what am I doing for those 5 hours and 51 minutes?
Where does that time come from?
It’s so easy to just say, put down your… Put down your phone.
I think to reduce my screen time, I am going to not have my phone the first and last thing that I touch every day.
If I want to read one of my favorite books, I think that’s a much better way to wind down.
My message would be that it is all about balance.
Think of how impactful it is instead of maybe texting your best friend to be able to sit and enjoy their company.
