Network rebrands with new name, look, logo and programming TORONTO, Feb. 15 /CNW/ - A new chapter in the future of The Biography Channel begins on Monday February 18, 2008 with a comprehensive rebranding of the network. Bio, the network for 'Great People Watching,' kicks off with a new on-air look, logo and focus on reality programming and features on current newsmakers around the world. Bio will provide Canadians with top-quality programming and special series' that connect viewers with top personalities - from the Hollywood tabloid and pop culture favorites to the business and political juggernauts of the day. "We are excited to build on our already successful brand with the new look and tag line," said Alain Strati, General Manager, Bio. "Bio prides itself on providing programming that is both compelling and entertaining and our expanding line up will provide a fresh new take on the current names and hottest stories in the news in a way that will appeal to a wider audience." Bio will spice up the weekend programming line up starting Saturday, February 23 with the introduction of the hit series Rock of Love and The Surreal Life for a real look at some former superstars and B-list celebrities. The three-hour block will take place on Saturday and Sunday evenings and bring a blast of reality to the weekend revealing the fascinating lives of the most talked about stars and forgotten icons. Rock of Love, the ultimate "bachelor" reality series, with 80s glam band Poison's front man Bret Michael as the prize, takes a look at what women will do for true love or rock star infatuation. With a fan base built on 20 years of continuous multi-platinum success and sold-out tours, women come from far and wide to get their shot at impressing the musical legend.
