Last night, we celebrated our team members and their remarkable achievements at the 22nd annual Ted Rogers Awards, hosted virtually by our very own Deepa Prashad, Entertainment Reporter with KiSS 92.5, and Sportsnet on-air host, Donnovan Bennett. Our award winners’ stories of compassion, innovation, and courage are both inspiring and heartwarming.
Burnaby’s Ryan Blundell, Operations Support Manager at Rogers, is one of this year’s winners. Ryan received the CEO Award for his compassion and dedication to supporting families as their children receive treatment for life-threatening illnesses.
In 2012, Ryan’s son, Keian, started The Keian’s Holiday Wish Toy Drive during his own end of life care at BC Children’s hospital. Keian’s wish was that all children with a life-threatening illness felt love and joy during the holiday season. After Keian’s passing, his memory continues to live on through his annual toy drive and it has made an impact far beyond what they could have imagined.
