60 Minutes to Make a Difference, Earth Hour with Rogers
Set your reminders and get the candles ready!
In honour of Earth Hour we are inviting you to join us in powering down!
On Saturday, March 25 at 8:30pm local time, 75 Rogers buildings across the country will be turning off our exterior signage and office lighting to participate in Saturday’s hour-long event. Arrangements have been made to keep interior lights and power on in areas where employees will be working on Saturday evening.
In addition to our continuous participation in World Wildlife Fund’s annual event, Rogers continues to create consistent, lasting change by looking for new ways make our workplace more energy efficient 365 days a year. These improvements include the transforming the way our workspaces our designed and utilized, and the ongoing implementation of energy efficient technologies, such as LED fixtures with motion and daylight sensors, thereby minimizing lighting electricity consumption and maximizing the use of natural light.
Thanks to these efforts, we have saved over 8 Million kWhs of energy since 2011 – that’s equivalent to the annual energy used by 280 Canadian homes a year!
