Bid or Buy! The Shopping Channel helps fight cancer by hosting the 'Make a Difference' Telethon


    MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 23 /CNW/ - From 8:00pm to 10:00 pm (E.T.) today,
The Shopping Channel will be hosting the 'Make a Difference' telethon to raise
funds for the Canadian Cancer Society, where 100% of sales revenue will go
directly to cancer research and support services.
    The telethon comes at the end of a nine-day campaign hosted by The
Shopping Channel in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Throughout the
campaign, viewers have had the opportunity to add a $1 donation to their order
and to make a donation via The Shopping Channel's website.

have received so far in the 'Make a Difference' campaign, and are grateful for

    Items for sale during The Shopping Channel telethon include products from
our campaign partners such as Dell, Bose, Wolfgang Puck and Dyson as well as
once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as lunch with Joan Rivers will be
auctioned off to the highest bidder.
