Bollywood dance troupe Broken Dance and circus performer Aygul Memet round out the list of Canada's Got Talent finalists during the last week of semifinals

opera singer Julie Lafontaine in the Live Finals, May 13

TORONTO, May 7, 2012 /CNW/ – With only two spots remaining in the Canada’s Got Talent Live Finals, the semifinal rounds came to an end earlier this evening
on Citytv as host Dina Pugliese revealed that South Asian, Bollywood
dance group Broken Dance from Mississauga, ON was the highest
vote-getter of the night. Of the acts who placed second and third
amongst voters, judges Martin Short, Measha Brueggergosman and Stephan
Moccio
selected Toronto circus performer Aygul Memet to continue her
journey to the Live Finals.

Broken Dance and Aygul Memet complete the list of the country’s top 12
finalists competing for the top spot and prize in the Canada’s Got Talent Live Finals on May 13. Joining them are previously announced finalists
traditional dance trio Sagkeeng’s Finest (Sagkeeng First Nation, Fort
Alexander, MB), beatboxer “KRNFX” (Toronto), country singer Ivan Daigle
(Petitcodiac, N.B.), rapper Mathew Cathcart (Hamilton, ON), dancer
Shale Wagman (Toronto), opera singer Emilio Fina (Petersburg, ON), rock
band Angry Candy (Moncton, N.B.), beatboxer Scott Jackson (Toronto),
hip hop dance group Freshh (Vancouver), opera singer Julie Lafontaine
(Montreal).

The special, two-hour Canada’s Got Talent Live Finals air Sunday, May 13 at 8 p.m. local time. Then, the most talented act in Canada is crowned during the
highly-anticipated, one-hour Live Finals Results on Monday, May 14 at 7
p.m.
local time.
