Brian Burke Joins Sportsnet for Remainder of 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs Coverage
TORONTO (April 27, 2018) Sportsnet is welcoming a familiar face to the fold as Brian Burke joins the network’s 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage for the remainder of the post-season. Burke will be adding commentary, insights and analysis to a wide variety of Sportsnet’s NHL coverage across television, radio and digital.

Burke brings with him more than three decades of front office experience having served most recently as the president of hockey operations for the Calgary Flames. Previously, Burke was the general manager of the Vancouver Canucks, Anaheim Ducks and Toronto Maple Leafs. He also held a vice-president position with the NHL, leading player discipline, officiating, proposed rule changes and league involvement in international hockey, giving him the ability to provide insight from both the league and team perspective.

Burke makes his first appearance this weekend, as Sportsnet’s television coverage includes two games on Saturday, two games on Sunday as well as a special presentation of the 2018 NHL Draft Lottery on Saturday night.
