Celebrating Jays Care Foundation with a $1M donation

More than a hundred girls from across the GTA hit the field at Rogers Centre today for baseball drills, fun with new friends, and mentorship as part of the Girls at Bat Jamboree. Girls at Bat is one of Jays Care Foundation’s youth programs offered across the country and helping to help make a meaningful impact in the lives of girls through the power of baseball. Rogers employees were onsite volunteering throughout the event.

Rogers is proud to be the foundation’s largest funding partner and is committed to helping the next generation achieve their highest potential by having access to sports. For over a decade, we have donated more than $10 million to support the growth of programs like Girls at Bat, Rookie League, Indigenous Rookie League and Challenger Baseball.

Today, Nancy Thomas, Vice-President, Brand for Rogers presented a cheque for $1 million to Jays Care in support of their ambitious goal to bring programming to 45,000 kids across Canada.

Breakfast Television interviewed several guests who shared stories of the impact Jays Care programs have for youth across Canada.
