Since launching in 2013, Connected for Success – Rogers affordable internet program – has partnered with more than 170 non-profit housing providers across Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. As a result, more than 14,500 households have benefited from the program.

Joanne, a retired legal assistant living in Durham Region Non-Profit Housing, did not have access to the internet in her home in Whitby, ON following her retirement.

That changed in 2016 when she received a letter in the mail from Rogers which identified her as a candidate for the CFS program. .

Joanne credits the Connected for Success program with bringing “relief”, as she now uses the internet without having to worry about an increase in charges, which was a previous concern of her. Like all Connected for Success customers, her bill is always only $9.99/ month.

From e-mailing, to keeping up to date with her granddaughter on Facebook, to looking up Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs scores, to finding out about community events, Joanne says she feels “up to date” with what’s going on, after feeling out of the loop for many years.
