TORONTO (June 22, 2020) Serving up more blockbuster nights of smash-hit dramas, laugh-out-loud comedies, and “O-M-G” reality shows, Citytv today announced its 2020/21 schedule, featuring four new shows and 21 returning fan-favourite series and events coming to Citytv and Citytv NOW.

Building on the success of last year’s schedule, Citytv’s prime-time tuning is up 37% year-over-year*. Star-studded Hollywood heavyweights joining the Citytv lineup this season include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ted Danson, Holly Hunter, Will Forte, Christopher Meloni, and legendary producers Dick Wolf, Tina Fey, and Nahnatchka Khan.

New to Citytv this fall is Law & Order: Organized Crime on Thursdays, where Christopher Meloni reprises his beloved role as Elliot Stabler. Then, Citytv brings three new comedies into the mid-season mix with global superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in single-cam comedy Young Rock,focusing on andinspired by his formative years. Tiny Fey and Robert Carlock’s Mr. Mayor stars Ted Danson as a wealthy businessman who runs for mayor of Los Angeles for all the wrong reasons. Plus, follow the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family in The Great North, as a single dad does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close.

Citytv brings the drama, belly laughs, and must-watch reality again and again with a roster of returning hits throughout the 2020/21 season. An outstanding lineup of comedies – black-ish, Bless the Harts, Bob’s Burgers, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Duncanville, Family Guy, mixed-ish, Mom, and The Simpsons – will have you howling with laughter. Popular dramas – Citytv original Hudson & Rex, Manifest, and A Million Little Things – will have you coming back week-after-week. Plus, Citytv has fan-favourite franchises The Bachelor / Bachelorette and Chicago Med / Fire / P.D., and knock-your-socks-off competition series Dancing with the Stars.  And it doesn’t stop there! The iconic Hockey Night In Canada, the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards®, and the New Year’s Eve countdown celebration Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve also return to Citytv with a bang.

Additionally, FX and FX NOW in Canada showcase a world-renowned lineup of buzzy dramas, comedies and docuseries from both FX and FX on Hulu originals. New series include The Old Man, A Teacher, and Y: The Last Man. Returning dramas include American Crime Story, American Horror Story, Fargo, Mayans M.C., Pose, and Snowfall, while acclaimed comedies are Atlanta, Better Things, Breeders, Dave, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mr Inbetween, and What We Do in the Shadows.

Mondays

Citytv delivers all the glitz, glam, glitter, and gloss as Dancing with the Stars returns with two-hours of star-studded, toe-tapping competition at 8 p.m. (s). Then, fasten your seatbelts and prepare for takeoff as an all-new season of Manifest headlines Monday nights at 10 p.m. (s).

Tuesdays

Bachelor Nation will (finally!) get its two-hour fix as a new batch of eligible bachelors vie for the heart of The Bachelorette, Clare Crawley, at 8 p.m. (s).

Wednesdays

Citytv blows away the competition on Wednesdays with all-new seasons of the blockbuster stack from the Windy City. Chicago Med at 8 p.m. (s), Chicago Fire at 9 p.m. (s), and Chicago P.D. at 10 p.m. (s) deliver three hours of must-watch Dick Wolf drama that brings loyal viewers back week after week.

Thursdays

Love. Loss. Mystery. And don’t forget laughs! Citytv is giving you all the feels on Thursdays with the trials and tribulations of Christy (played by Anna Faris) and Bonnie (played by Allison Janney) in Mom at 8 p.m., then the funniest precinct (no doubt!) in Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 8:30 p.m. (s), followed by a group of friends bonded by tragedy in A Million Little Things at 9 p.m., and new criminal drama spin-off by Dick Wolf in Law & Order: Organized Crime at 10 p.m. (s).

Fridays

Citytv brings a weekly dose of XOXO with Fall in Love Fridays, featuring a selection of romance movies to fall for at 8 p.m.

Saturdays

Canada’s favourite weekend pastime returns with Hockey Night in Canada. As hockey’s biggest stars lace up once again, Canadians can look forward to the NHL post-season as the league’s top teams battle for hockey’s Holy Grail.

Sundays

On Sunday, Citytv’s animation block keeps the laughs coming all night long with Season 32 of The Simpsons at 8 p.m. (s) and the incomparable voice talent of Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph in Bless the Harts at 8:30 p.m. (s). Then, join the Belcher family in Bob’s Burgers at 9 p.m. (s) and the Griffin family in Family Guy at 9:30 p.m. (s) on a slew of new adventures.

LAW & ORDER: ORGANIZED CRIME

60-minute scripted drama series (s)

New criminal drama spin-off Law & Order: Organized Crime by heavyweight producer Dick Wolf. The drama features Christopher Meloni reprising his beloved role as Elliot Stabler, who returns to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. However, the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he’s been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning. Throughout the series, viewers can follow Stabler’s journey to find absolution and rebuild his life while leading a new elite task force that is taking apart the city’s most powerful criminal syndicates one by one.
