G4TechTV Canada's Wired Road Trip hits the road


    Tech Fans at summer's hottest events get a taste of G4TechTV technology
    in person, online and on air

    TORONTO, May 31 /CNW/ - G4TechTV Canada's teched-out gadget and gaming RV
is setting off on a thrilling adventure with the first ever Wired Road Trip.
This vehicle and its tech-junkies (TJs) will be stopping at this summer's
hottest events to introduce the public to some of the newest and coolest
technologies. The Wired Road Trip TJs will also be appearing online and on-air
on G4TechTV through weekly video podcasts and broadcasted segments allowing
viewers around the world to join this exciting journey.
    The Wired Road Trip will make its first stop in Montreal the weekend of
the Grand Prix and then head west to stop off at the Gay Pride Parade in
Toronto, followed by Canada Day celebrations in the nation's capital. TJ (tech
junkie) host Brenna Pierson will lead the tour, sharing the electrifying
journey of digital know-how, interesting faces and places and introducing
viewers at home to the latest gaming, digital entertainment and gadgets as she
and the Wired crew participate in the season's hottest events. Brenna from
Alberta won this summer gig by competing in an open call for Canada's biggest
technology fans and is an accomplished girl gamer.
    The Wired RV will feature an XBOX gaming pod hosted by Rogers Video and a
Rogers Wireless phone gaming area where gaming fans can test out high tech
gear and try out the newest games on the market. Equipped with the latest
technology for work and play the Wired crew will be podcasting from some of
the events and along the way offering a digital oasis for techies on the road
and those tuning in from home. Viewers will have the chance to win some of
this gear by signing up online or at events to win weekly prizes ranging from
the Xbox 360 to a Samsung home entertainment system, plus draws for MP3
players, XM radios and Rogers gift cards.
