Gord Cutler Appointed Senior Vice President of NHL Production, Rogers Media
TORONTO, Feb. 13, 2014 /CNW/ – Scott Moore, President of Sportsnet &
NHL, Rogers Media, announced today the appointment of Gord Cutler as
Senior Vice President of NHL Production, effective February 18.
In this new role, Cutler is responsible for all on-air production
elements of Sportsnet’s NHL coverage on all platforms, including
national and regional games, all playoff games and the Stanley Cup
Final, special events and non-game events, and studio broadcasts, to
deliver best-in-class hockey experiences to fans across Canada.
“My working relationship with Gord extends close to 30 years. He is one
of Canada’s top sports producers, possesses incredible hockey
knowledge, and understands the hockey fan,” said Moore. “Gord’s
extensive production resume, which includes the NHL playoffs and
several Olympic Games, combined with his tremendous passion for the
game, will be integral to delivering on our stars-first production
philosophy.”
Cutler is an award-winning producer with more than 25 years of industry
experience, having worked six Olympic Games and 19 seasons producing
NHL games.
Most recently, Cutler served as the Executive Producer for Canada’s
Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium, producing the Prime Time broadcasts
for both the London 2012 Olympic Games and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Prior to his role with the Consortium, Cutler
served as Executive Producer of NHL Network in Canada, and as a game
producer for Toronto Raptors broadcasts with Maple Leaf Sports &
Entertainment. He also served in various senior producer and producer
roles for Fox’s NHL broadcasts, NBC (Winter and Summer Olympic Games),
Sportsnet (NHL and NBA), and TSN (NHL, international hockey, CFL, and a
variety of other sports).
