Ignite Entertainment: With you with Pride

Pride Season celebrates Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer and more (2SLGBTQ+) community and runs across Canada all throughout the summer and into the fall. Starting this month, and running throughout the year, we are putting a spotlight on 2SLGBTQ+ films and television shows and the important storytellers behind them.

From heart-breaking dramas to laugh out loud comedies, we’re showcasing the best in 2SLGBTQ+ content with a curated selection available through Ignite Entertainment (Ignite TV and Ignite Streaming).

Ignite TV customers can simply say “Pride Month” into the award-winning voice remote to watch more than 150 titles across movies, TV, and more including:

Bros (On Demand) – A romantic comedy film starring Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane as two gay men in Manhattan who avoid commitment but are drawn to each other.

Everything Everywhere All At Once (Prime Video) – Oscar-winning multi-genre film that tells the story of Evelyn Quan Wang, played by Michelle Yeoh, a Chinese-American immigrant who, while being audited by the IRS, discovers that she must connect with parallel universe versions of herself to prevent a powerful being from destroying the multiverse.

Spoiler Alert (On Demand) – A biographical romantic drama film starring Jim Parsons and Ben Aldridge as two lovers, one who watches the other’s final months before his death from terminal cancer.

The Lake (Prime Video) – Canadian comedy series starring Julia Stiles that tells the story of a Justin (Jordan Garvaris) returning home to his family lake house in Canada to try to reconnect with his daughter Billie played by Madison Shamoun.

Miami Dolls (OUTtv) – This explosive reality show offers a behind the scenes look at Palace Bar, Miami’s hottest drag venue. Packed with laughs, drama, and incredible performances from the country’s top showgirls.

Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World (Crave) – This season of the award-winning Drag Race brings back fan-favourites from the international Drag Race family for elite competition to crown the “Queen of the World.” Let the international games begin!

Little Richard: I Am Everything (On Demand) – This riveting documentary tells the story of the Black queer origins of rock n’ roll, exploding the whitewashed canon of American pop music to reveal the innovator – the originator – Richard Penniman.
