Keeping our electronic junk drawers clean and our planet e-waste free!

Today our devices are vital to keeping us connected to the world around us – and as the latest technologies continue to hit the store shelves, it’s no secret that our electronic junk drawers are starting to pile up!  While these old devices might not be of any use to us anymore, they are far from “junk”, and with a few easy steps can take on a whole new life that is good for both our communities, and our planet!

This week is Waste Reduction Week and today is E-Waste Wednesday. Here at Rogers we’re doing our part – today and beyond – to ensure that devices are safely and securely recycled after their point of use so that we can limit our environmental impact and conserve our natural resources.

Did you know that approximately 80% of Canadians are still storing unused electronics in the home? Through our environmentally friendly Rogers Recycling program, device owners can easily dispose of their wireless and cable devices at any of our retail stores so that they can either be refurbished and reused or recycled in an environmentally responsible way and stay out of our landfills.

If you’re looking to upgrade to the latest smartphone this holiday season, plan ahead and trade in your old phone for a credit towards your new one with the Rogers Trade-Up program!

By recycling our unused devices, we can help power the way forward for Canada and make our sustainable future possible for us all.
